Rosemarie and Bob Dieda

Rosemarie and Bob Dieda

Rosemarie and Bob Dieda have been WCS supporters for nearly 20 years, and in 2005 they amplified their outright support by including WCS as a beneficiary in their wills. Rosemarie was born in City Island, New York, and Bob in Auburn, Massachusetts—but he moved to New York at a very early age. Both have been coming to the Bronx Zoo since they were very young, and these visits sparked their profound love of wildlife. Rose and Bob have no children but have shared their home and lives with several cats throughout the years.

The Diedas chose to include WCS in their wills because they wanted to make a difference in the protection of wildlife and the wild places they inhabit. They are very committed to WCS’s mission and also support other animal welfare organizations. Bob joined the Bronx Zoo’s docent program, Friends of the Zoo (FOZ), 20 years ago and over the years has learned many important facts on the species housed in our exhibits—facts he generously shares with the Zoo goers that surround him whenever he is volunteering. Bob enjoys chatting, joking, and playfully teasing the visitors, especially the really young ones. We deeply thank Bob and Rosemarie for their long-standing support of wildlife!
